I can’t believe it’s been 45 years since we opened Bill’s Gun Shop in Preston, Minnesota. It seems like it was just yesterday that it was only an idea for the shop. There have been so many great memories made, new friendships built, and so many hunting enthusiasts that have walked through our doors over the past 45 years.
I have been lucky to have such a great crew at the shop, and some have been with us for nearly the whole time. It just shows that having a fun and knowledgeable staff makes work so much easier.
That sense of fun and common spirit is what we would like to celebrate with you!

We are having an anniversary party, and we would like you to be part of it. Without you, we wouldn’t be open. Your patronage and loyalty mean everything to us, and we want to thank you.
On September 7th, we will have an open house anniversary party, and you are invited!
We will have 50 lbs of smoked pork butt sandwiches, smoked on-site, hot dogs, and chips to knock out your hunger.
We will be giving away a Ruger #1022 model, which is the 75th Anniversary of this gun. It’s a $389 value! Be there to register!
We are having a rummage sale and will be featuring Doubletree Leatherworks. If you are not familiar with them, they are a handmade artisan-quality leather shop in Cheery Grove, Minnesota.
We will also have a bunch of photos from over the years and more than a few funny stories. Be sure to ask Jerry how he almost got in trouble on his fiftieth birthday. To be honest, the photos alone are worth the trip to the party.
September 7th, the shop opens at 9 AM and the food will start at 11 AM
